The Queen Lade's DareToDream Community was born from a simple belief: when people come together around a shared purpose, extraordinary things become possible.
Our story began in 2024 when a diverse group of volunteers, creatives, professionals, students, and changemakers united behind one dream—to support Queen Ololade Ayelabola in her attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Distance Walked on a Catwalk by a Model.
That attempt was never just about setting a record.
It was a movement that challenged stereotypes within the fashion industry by celebrating models of different heights, body sizes, skin tones, and backgrounds, proving that beauty has no single definition. The achievement became a powerful statement for inclusion, equal opportunity, and representation, advancing the ideals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities.
But as the applause faded, one question remained:
What if the community that made this dream possible could continue helping others achieve theirs?
That question became our purpose.
Rather than allowing the movement to end with a world record, we transformed it into a community committed to helping individuals discover their potential, nurture their ambitions, and build sustainable solutions that create lasting social impact.
Today, the Queen Lade's DareToDream Community is built on three interconnected pillars—Inspire, Nurture, and Build.
We inspire through storytelling, mentorship, and initiatives like the Made of More Tour, empowering young people, especially girls, to believe that they are capable of achieving more than society often expects.
We nurture by creating opportunities for collaboration, leadership, creativity, and personal development, bringing together people from different backgrounds to grow alongside one another while turning ideas into meaningful action.
We build sustainable systems that address real societal challenges through innovation and entrepreneurship. From Passiton, Nigeria's Circular Economy Marketplace advancing responsible consumption and production (SDG 12), to BRYXX, a platform connecting underrepresented models with opportunities (SDG 10), we are transforming purpose into practical solutions with measurable impact.
